A veteran is a person who has served the United States of America in the armed forces. The armed forces includes the Army, the Navy, the Marines and the Airforce. The armed forces help protect our country. They are the men and women who fought in World War I, World War II, Korea, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, and most recently, the Iraq War. We also salute our friends who fought beside us throughout these years, such as Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and many more.

So take a moment of your life to pay respect and to honor those who are or have served in the military.
